Mark Zuckerberg said, “We are adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption. This is a top requested feature. We introduced chat transfer from iOS to Android last year, and now you can switch from Android to iOS too.”

You must have Android version 5 or later to transfer chats and an iPhone running iOS 15.5. Right now this feature is available for users in the beta version. The new device also requires iOS version 2.22.10.70 or above. Similarly, the Whatsapp version should be 2.22.7.74 or later for Android users.
